With a decade of PR experience and an eye for a compelling story, Melanie founded M:RAW Communications to provide a personable PR and communications service, without the costs that are often associated with larger PR agencies.
After graduating with a First-Class Honours in BA Public Relations, Melanie spent her earlier years at PR Week’s top 10 agency Hill + Knowlton Strategies, working across Mondelez, McCormick and Bacardi Global Brands. Here, she planned and executed the Bombay Sapphire World’s Most Imaginative Bartender Competition, organised and hosted educational VIP trips for press and bartenders, managed UK and international press offices across clients and worked with media medics and celebrities to convey the health messaging of Belvita Breakfast Biscuits.
Further developing her passion for all things food, drink, travel and hospitality, Melanie later joined lifestyle agencies Fleet Street Communications and Roche Communications to hone her skills and experience. From managing the trade PR for the Diageo Reserve premium drinks portfolio, to getting the world-famous YorkyPud Wrap™ into the hands of Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1 and the Hairy Bikers on ITV’s Loose Women, Melanie’s career has certainly seen her take clients through the highs.
She knows her margaritas from her martinis and her bao buns from her burgers too! When she’s not working hard on client campaigns, she can be found indulging in London’s latest pop-ups and cocktail bars, or jetting off somewhere exotic to get her cultural fix.
